The person that is most inspirational to me is
Florence Nightingale. She was born in Florence Italy in 1820’s where marriages
were arranged. She was supposed to marry when she decided to stand up to her
parents and go to nursing school. It was at age 16 when she decided her passion
was being a nurse. By age 17 she had pursued her dream and started school. She
was remembered as a hero for lowering the death rate in hospitals. She did this
by practicing hygiene and sanitation. She would also be recognized for
assembling a group of nurses to aid with taking care of sick and dying soldiers
during the war. I am inspired by her courage to follow her calling and passion.
She was determined to do what she loved doing. She made it possible for all
women with dreams of becoming a nurse possible. One of my goals upon completion
of a bachelors program is to go back and finish an accelerated nursing program.
